On October 7-9, the First Annual Clive Cussler Convention was held at the Radisson hotel in Denver (CO).

On Friday evening, the grand arrival of Clive Cussler via one of his classic cars was a fact. For many of the attendees the first time they met the writer they so much enjoyed reading his books. Next to Clive, also co-writer Paul Kemprecos joined the evening event.

On Saturday, various guest speakers showed up: Stuart Leuthner to discuss his upcoming bibliography of Clive and Paul Peregrine, to discuss his photography work with Clive. Following lunch, a trip was made to the Cussler Museum, toured by the grandmaster himself. In the evening, first a banquet dinner was held, followed by a book signing event. It goes without saying this was an opportunity everyone used to the max.
