Raise The Titanic

In 1980 the book “Raise the Titanic!” was brought to the cinemas. Not with much success. Producer at the time Lord Lew Grade stated: “it would have been cheaper to lower the Atlantic”.

Here you see some collectibles from that movie. At my home I have the original movie add,

and the film itself –now on DVD available-.

The “Raise the Titanic” game by Hoyle 1987.

Now that the location of the famous Titanic has been discovered, you’re in a race to gather an expedition to explore and attempt to raise the great ship from Davy Jones’s locker. There is no reference to Cussler’s book, but considered to be a nice collectible for a Cussler fan.

The new Cussler film "Sahara", released April 2005

With high expectations, Crusader entertainment has taken up the challenge to make “Sahara” a big success. With Matthew McConaughey as Dirk Pitt, Penelope Cruz as United Nations scientist Eva Rojas and Steve Zahn as Al Giordino, the cast is a promise in itself. Unfortunately, as we know today, the movie did not became the expected hit and a court case between Crusader and Clive Cussler was a dark cloud over this project. The case has been closed in May 2007 and at this moment it is uncertain if there will be more movies to come.

Here you see some pages from the script, a version with revisions by Clive Cussler , dated 03/12/02

and copies of the call sheet for day 26 of 56, Friday March 5th 04.
